Hawkes Ridge Wine 2010 Pinot Gris. This wine was partially barrel fermented. It is dry and full bodied with aromas of candied pears, passion fruit and cinnamon. The palate has exquisite aromas of dried pear and stonefruit with hints of citrus peel. The palate offers rich tropical fruit with a slight background of baking spice.
Produced primarily from premium sites in the Hawkes Bay region this Pinot Gris shows the rich fruit characters typical of the variety. Pear and apricot aromas and flavours are balanced with soft, lingering acidity.
